1) What type of wood is your furniture primarily made of?

We use three main type of tropical woods. However, we primarily use Rosewood in the construction of our furniture. Rosewood is a hard, durable and very sought after hardwood. It has a richness and color unlike many of the other kinds of wood available for furniture making. Its durability sets it apart from the pack and makes each developed piece last a lifetime.

Our wood is harvested, cut, and then taken to our factories where it kilned to 6%-8% moisture content. This trait makes us unique from most other import manufactures who use Mesquite, Oak or other hardwood in that it assures our beautiful Rosewood products will be enjoyed for generations. As you browse through our gallery you will find information about the type of wood used in each specific product.

2) We understand that you sell your products in container basis. However, we cannot handle purchasing a container at this time. How do we go about ordering few items at a time?

3) How does Indus Tree differ from other import furniture manufactures?

Indus Tree differs from other import manufactures in three key ways. First, we do not use any particle board or laminate in creation of our products. We kiln-dry all our wood at our factories to ensure that moisture is down to only 6-8%. This procedure stops any cracking or warping in our furniture and enables the client to enjoy its beauty for life. Secondly, we have a unique method of finishing certain product lines. This technique is called Cross-planing and it brings out the natural beauty and texture of our Indus range of furniture. Finally, Indus Tree Imports prides itself in our personal rapport we have with our clients. We treat each order the same whether small or large and facilitate their needs on an individual basis. 4) Do you take custom orders?

Indus Tree Imports can and has developed custom orders for our clients. Due to our rapport with our factories, we can create different and unique furniture to your liking. On certain pieces we can develop the product and guarantee you that your custom masterpiece is one-of-a-kind. Our skilled craftsmen in India can develop any design presented to them. This makes Indus Tree Imports a versatile ally to any furniture business.

5) Do you ever come out with a new product line?

Indus Tree is constantly researching new product lines and Antiques. Because of our partnership with the manufacturers, we have employee's searching for Antiques and accessories so that we can keep our product line fresh and appealing to our clients. 6) How much time does it take for you to fulfill an order?

Indus Tree Imports wants the best for our clients and we know too well that time is a big factor. We carry a considerable amount of stock in our warehouse of our most popular product lines. Orders can be filled from an immediate basis or up to three months on new product or custom orders. We offer container prices on goods that can be directly shipped to you. Pricing varies on product and size of order, but this can be easily confirmed at the point of your order.

7) Where does your product originate from?

Indus Tree Imports receives its hand made furnishings from Rajastan, India. We work with many factories in India with hundreds of employees. Our skilled designers and craftsmen produce the beautiful furniture that we sell in the United States. Our partnership with the manufacturers enables Indus Tree to supply clients quickly and efficiently.
